This intricately hand-painted and gilt porcelain figurine is a well documentedWolfsohn Dresden figure and he is part of a courting couple set...
The heavy quality made figure weighs 4 pounds, 11 ounces and we believe it dates to the early 1880s. Bears the post 1870s mark used afterWolfsohnwas forced to drop the "AR" mark by Meissen and she adopted the "Crown with 'D'" scripted beneath.Large & colorful, with painstakingly applied hand painted coloration, the figure is decorated in exquisitely fine detail.
Connoisseurs of these type wares readily recognize the quality of this exquisitely modeled romantic gentleman, with the masses of hand painted & hand applied flowers he holds and the other minute embellishments. And after very careful inspection, I can observe only (1) small fault present. If you note the final detail image, you can see that the handle of the watering can on the back side is broken off..a straightforward and easy professional repair..
Otherwise, no other flaws or faults are present, after extremely careful inspection. And this includes no applied flower cluster losses or damages..
If you have his pretty companion female gardener mate, here is your chance to re-unite the two love birds!! And a well preserved matching pair of these large Wolfsohn figures is worth well over $600!Also, I do fully understand how to properly ship this most delicate item so that you receive it in the condition that you see.
The secret is to smother the piece in toilet tissue, then liberally bubble wrap and double box & VOILA-- it arrives to you with no damages whatsoever!

Shipping has been estimated. Cost of bubble wrap, box(es), tape and other supplies have been added into the shipping & handling charges. If the estimated shipping cost is in excess of the actual charge with supplies, I will issue you a refund. However, we under estimate the actual shipping charge for the vast majority of the items that we ship.

I guarantee everything I sell unconditionally if you are not satisfied. I do, however, require that the item be returned in no more than 30 days following arrival and be returned in original condition. I also request that you notify me by email within 3 days of receipt of item. I do want you to be satisfied.
In the case of a return, we pay for shipping one way only. All items are from a smoke free environment.
