10PC ANTIQUE LIMOGES SERVING PIECES 5HANDPAINTED FLOWERS GOLD TRIM PORCELAIN DINNERWARE BY D&C FRANCE
4 COVERED BOWLS (including 1 round butter with strainer)1 OPEN BOWL
(5 bowls, plus 4 lids, plus 1 strainer). All beautifully hand painted with flowers INSIDE AND OUT. Lots of gold trim. Marked D&C France (maker) Higgins & Seiter New York (Importer and retailer - went out of business in 1915) and R Delinieres & Cie Limognes. All these indicate that the pieces were made around 1900. D&C means Delienieres & Cie. "France" (country of origin) was required on imported ware in the 1890s until 1915. so that mark seems to have been added after D&C replaced R Delinieres & Cie, as I understand it.
The porcelain is beautifully designed and shaped. Collectors pieces in remarkable shape.
