1/6 daguerreotype of a little boy wearing a dress. Behind the case he is identified by a period note as Edward N. Brush.Brush was born April 23, 1852, died January 9, 1933. He grew up to be a noted physician in private practice and in several insane asylums around New York and Maryland area. Later in life he was Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry in the University of Maryland and College of Physicians and Surgeons. You can find him on Wikipedia by searching his full name, Edward Nathaniel Brush.
Dag is in full, push button, pebbled leather case and other than a tarnish ring is in excellent condition. It has been resealed at some point with archival tape. Note that my dags are offered as found, they have NOT been been soaked in silver cleaner👎to remove tarnish/patina and make them shiny and bright!Boxed & signed Priority Mail.
