1/6 Daguerreotype Crossed Arms Boy Wearing Amazing Tinted Color Scarf - CE Hawes:

Sixth-plate daguerreotype of a young man wearing a multi-colored, tinted scarf. Seated in front of what appears to be a winter scene backdrop. Mat is stamped: C.E. HAWES, N. BEDFORD. and AMBROTYPE ARTIST. Charles E. Hawes produced ambrotypes as well, but this is definitely a daguerreotype. 

Dag is in full case with separated covers. It has been resealed with archival tape.. most of the original seals are still inside.

Plate has some medium to heavy tarnish throughout, but I see no damage... a dag restorer might be able to remove the tarnish and still leave the tinting.
