Buckingham Palace commissioned #666/1000 Queen Elizabeth ii "Diamond Jubilee " Plate
This is a very rare 1 out of 1000 made (#666), 2012 limited edition 'Charger Plate' that has been made by the Royal Collection to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee, in commemoration of Queen Elizabeth II. The outer border decoration is based on the famous Rockingham Service made between 1830 and 1837 for William IV, who was a great patron of English porcelain. The china plate is entirely made by hand in Staffordshire, UK. The decoration is applied by hand and is made up of several layers of enamel, raised material, and self burnished gold. The plate piece is gilded and individually numbered by hand using the highest quality 22 carat burnished gold. The plate itself is in immaculate condition. The outer box shows signs of wear.
