ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES WHEN HANDLING ROUGH GLASS!This bunch of pieces weighs 1.02lb on their own without any packaging and are a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes. Some pieces are transparent, and some are not as seen in photos. I run these things though the tumbler very often, and they turn out so beautifully. Photos taken in actual sunlight, while pieces were wet from rinsing. Slag glass made in the Pittsburgh area of PA no later than the 1940s, but possibly much older. The specificPittsburgh Plate Glass Co. plant that these items are from opened in 1887 along the Allegheny River in Ford City, PA. It actually turned the town into a boom town for quite some time. These pieces came from a man who worked in that plant in the 1940s. Requests for more photos and questions are always welcome!
