This dramatic photogravure called \"Spearing Salmon-Cowichan\" (plate 324) was created by Edward S. Curtis as a portfolio accompanying Volume Nine of his great work \"The North American Indian\" printed in Seattle in 1913. It is printed on Japanese Vellum and has the Holland Van Gelder Paper watermark in the margin. It is on a full sheet with deckled edges. The margins are slightly toned The image size is 15.25\" x 11\" and the sheet size is 22\" x 17.5\". The image was copyrighted in 1912. It is in very good condition.
