Article on left side in 1st photo attached: This article appears on pages 14 - 17 of the September 1956 issue of "FOCUS" magazine. This little magazine was popular back in that era. It covered Life, People, News, and Pictures. It measures 4" x 5 7/8". The magazine has a total of 64 pages and includes numerous articles and photos of that time in or entertainment history. The ELVIS article is titled "The Howling Success", The boy with the 3-Cadillac voice moans, plunks his way to millions. The article begins: Biggest explosion to come out of the South in years originated in Tupelo, Miss., caught fire in Memphis, Tenn., and is now rock-'n-rolling the whole country. This H-bomb of the entertainment world, Elvis Aaron Presley, howled his way to a 3-Cadillac, 1-Messerschmitt, 1-station-wagon, 1-motorcycle fortune in 2 years....This little magazine contains lots of other "star" photos, articles, and much more.
The second booklet in the first photo attached is titled "Elvis...The life and loves of the country boy who became King of Rock 'n Roll. It is a DellPurse Book#2286.Copyrighted in 1977, this little book measures 3 1/2" x 5 1/8."It has 64 pages chocked full of information and black and white photos on the "King."
The third magazine in the first photo is an original February 1978 issue of FORUM magazine by Publisher Bob Guccione of "PENTHOUSE" magazine. The "Elvis" article appears on pages 10 -14, and is titled "The Pelvis That Shook The Nation"...A thought-provoking look at the sexually liberating effect Elvis Presley had on America--especially teenage America. It includes 4 black & white photos in addition to the text. This complete magazine has 114 pages, chocked full of articles, letters, advice, photos and more. It measures 5 5/8" x 8 1/4". The excellent cover illustration of Elvis is by Sam Patrick.
All are in overall good condition. There are some cover areas that have some wear, but all inside pages are excellent.
I'll place the magazines and booklet in a plastic sleeve and add a piece of white foam board for stability. Mailing by USPS First Class in a bubble envelope.
