Primrose Paschal illustrated a number of children\'s books, and created many beautiful paintings that can be found on the walls of courtrooms, museums, and private homes throughout North Carolina. She was particularly adept at portraits. In 1948 she painted \"Beulah’s Baby,\" a moving portrait of a black woman and her child. This painting won the annual purchase award at the North Carolina State Art Society\'s exhibition. It is now part of the North Carolina Museum of Art\'s permanent collection.

Total Size = 24.25 x 28.25 inches

Image Size = 22.25 x 26.5 inches

Condition: The colors are bright and contrast is excellent with no signs of fading or discoloration. There are 3 three-inch strips of mounting tape residue in the top border above the image (see photos). A very faint yellowing is detectable in the border around the top of the print. There is also a long strip of masking tape along the top edge of the back (see last two photos). Please see all photos and feel free to contact us with any questions.
