First let me say. I contacted the Olympus camera people and they said they were surprised the camera still worked. I will get a new one soon. The medal is perfect silver color just as it should be. You will be very pleased with it.From my airship collection I offer this original large 54mm silver medal issued to members only who accomplished some noteworthy aviation achievement. Louis Bleriot got one in 1909 for being first to fly across the English Channel to England. A quick check and I see it was awarded less than 40 times. Mine was never engraved so it was not awarded as far as I know. I guess members who wanted one could buy one if they wanted to. Signed A. Marcus. The obverse has seated France pointing to a loaf shaped airship with a winged figure in a cloud pointing as well. Beautiful. The reverse has Genius alone. Again, simple and lovely.
