~1884 (possibly 1870\'s) RAISED OVAL CDV PHOTO YOUNG WOMAN (AILING?) POST CIVIL WAR. Very good CDV condition; small label scratch bottom front - see pic; very small spot under right eye that actually blends with dark eye circles - most don\'t notice unless closely looked at - again, see pic. Woman looks very tired, or perhaps ailing (hopefully not!). Light pink card piece shows more on back, similar to pix. Most characteristics of her, looks & contents fit approximately 1884 - that is the suspected CDV year. 1870\'s mentioned only because of a more rarely used CDV photo characteristic, the raised oval - harder to see in front pic (a bit on borderline), but can be seen on back pic; can easily be seen in person. Is just that the oval containing the subject is raised a hint on front, and photo finish is more satin than matte, not quite glossy. The raised oval commonly started & was used in the 1870\'s, but could\'ve certainly been used again after if desired, so could coincide with the 1884 majority estimate. Young woman looks like a very tired woman of the times - hopefully felt better shortly! :)
