#1065 HARKER & GEBHARDT New York Weiss Beer Baltimore, Maryland aqua beer bottle:
$95.00

Thinning out my 30+ year collection of great Baltimore Maryland and Carroll County soda, beer and whiskey bottles. Any references to a # are from the 2019 edition of Baltimore’s Pre-Prohibition Breweries & Bottles (also available on ).

Please look at the pictures carefully. I can provide additional pictures upon request.

Offered for sale is # 1065 in very light aqua. This Weiss beer bottle only stands about 7.5 inches. Harker & Gebhardt was a short 1 year partnership between the brewers, after which Gebhardt was on his own which making this one of the more difficult Baltimore Weiss beers to obtain. Most likely due to financial reasons Harker and his $$ was brought on. As noted this merger quickly failed and Gebhardt then continued on with Herman Wilms with the Baltimore-Berliner Weiss Beer Brewing Company until 1908. There is heavy strong embossing on both sides and more on the bottom. This example has some internal staining and what may be a bruise on the lip. It may be a glass fold but I still cannot tell when using a jewelers loop.
