General Henri-Gratien Bertrandís breeches and gloves

- c. 1812-1815

General Bertrand managed the Imperial household during Napolťonís reign, and accompanied him into exile on Elba Island and later, St. Helena Island. He was the main executor of the Emperorís will. Worn on ceremonial occasions, these breeches (or culottes) were part of his official uniform as Grand Marshal of the Palace.
