Vintage Christofle Salt and Pepper Shakers-Piccolo:

This is a very rare vintage set of Christofle “Piccolo” salt & pepper shakers. This Art Deco pattern features stylized bird finials and was manufactured in France during the 1990s. This design is no longer available and is hard to find.

The front of each shaker is marked with “Christofle” and the bottom of each rim is marked “France” as well as the master’s marks of Christofle.

There are no dents or deep scratches on either shaker. There are some fine superficial lines seen with the zoom lens. These can easily be buffed out by a jeweler or someone with a buffing tool. The insides are nice and clean. The original stoppers are present.

The shakers measure:

2 1/2” H x 1 1/4” W

Weight: approximately 5.4 ounces

Christofle is a world-famous and celebrated brand because of the excellent quality and craftsmanship that is demanded of their silversmiths. The collections are handmade and to this day are still made by France’s best silversmiths.
