8 pgs, 6 by 9" Found online: Frost, Lillibridge (Lily) Marguerite (1892-1971), of Canterbury, NH, was born at Marblehead, MA. She had several sisters, among them Ethel (see above). She came to the Shakers at the age of eleven, in 1903; she was a very studious girl, particularly in religion, and was appointed as an assistant teacher in the school when she was 25. She was one of the last teachers in the Shaker school, and was also the community's physician in the 1940s (a manuscript of hers, titled "A Shaker Doctor" exists in the Canterbury Shaker Village Archives), and an article by her "Notes on Shaker Herbs and Herbalists. appeared in HERB GROWER MAGAZINE, in 1951. She was also very interested in music, and she organized and was the leader of the Tenuvius band (as one of the saxophone players), and was one of the singers in the Double Quartet. She was considered to be an expert in interpretation of Shaker songs, which she lovingly collected and performed. In 1958 a pamphlet of hers, About the Shakers, was published. In 1965, she was appointed Lead Minister of the United Society and stayed in that position until her death. She also gave tours of her village, thus meeting the Ziegerts, to whom she sold many Shaker artifacts. These became part of the collection at the Philadelphia Museum of Fine Arts. She was actively involved in the development of the Canterbury Shaker Village Museum.
