Vintage postcards: Set of 8. These include a unique collection of what appear to be novelty, air-brush, or hand-colored cards. These are from multiple publishers and are holiday or greeting cards. All eight are addressed to Pearlie Umphenour, 1907-1913, including four from sister Nellie and four from other family members.
The novelty card, dated 1907 (see set-of-8 photo as well as separate photos) has a very small envelope attached to the card and inside the envelop is a hand-written note, front and back, from Nellie to her sister (see photos), noting the boarding house where Nellie stays and a list of the school classes Nellie is enrolled in, including Latin and Elocution.
The cards range in condition from VG to EX, showing typical edge and corner wear. The previously described novelty card is the only one with a crease (25 mm), UR corner. One card reverse shows a classic Flag Cancel from Pittsburg KANS 1913.
