Lovely, vintage porcelain figurines that resemble Victorian shoes. Shoe figurines like these were highly popular knickknack decor in the 1950s & typically were made in Germany or Japan. The pair come in pale shades of pink & blue. Each is adorned with molded, cream-colored porcelain roses, leaves & blue forget me nots. Additional detail include hand painted flowers on the sides. Both are marked \"Germany\" on the bottom. These particular figurines are very special to me because they lovingly come from the estate of a late, childhood friend. It is my hope they will go to a home where they will be treasured & appreciated as much as they were by their original owners.Each shoe measures 2 1/2\" long x 2\" high at the highest point. They are made of glazed & hand painted porcelain, but are unglazed on the bottom. Country hallmark on bottom of both. No cracks or crazing. A few scuff marks on the edges at the top of shoe opening. Normal manufacturing marks from that era. The pink shoe is missing a forget me not. They are otherwise clean & in very good vintage condition.
