MATCHBOOK LOT FROM HAWAII14 matchbooks from the 50th state. Four from The Willows (restaurant featured in Ford Times and other mid-century guidebooks), seven from Chuck\'s Steak House Waikiki, one from Canli\'s Charcoal Broiler, one from Sheraton Hotels in Hawaii, and one from the Halekulani Hotel on the beach at Waikiki. The Halekulani had one of the island\'s oldest tiki bars, going back to 1932 and their bourbon based drink appeared in tiki guides including those by Jeff Beachbum Berry. The Willows offered exotic cocktails in the 1950s and was also one of the older Hawaiian establishments for the \"tiki\" scene. Undated but most in this lot appear to be late 60s - 70s. A lovely collection in all!
