This is an original University of Wisconsin student notebook with the school\'s name and logo on the front, used by a student of that university for notes in a comparative literature class in the spring 1952 semester. This student took detailed--and neat--notes, filling up every page. She wrote down the date for almost every class, beginning with 2-12-52 and ending with 5-27-52.
As my photos show, this notebook definitely shows its age, with heavily discolored and stained covers. The wire ring binding is in excellent shape, and all of the inner pages turn easily. These pages, though somewhat yellowed from age, are quite crisp. Finally, the entire notebook is slightly warped, probably from spending decades in the basement where I found it.
A really cool piece of memorabilia for this university!
