Good evening all. Back to some family pieces. This one is avintage 9\" copper clad celestial sun - hanging wall decor/jello mold. Made in Korea. This is from the 1980s, or maybe a little earlier. It hung in my mother\'s kitchen. I don\'t believe that it was ever used to make jello.
This is a well-made item, weighing over 7 ounces and not at all thin or \"cheap\". I think that it is actually copper-clad, given the thickness of the metal and the weight of the piece. Completely non-magnetic.
In terms of condition, PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
1. The overall finish is very nice, but there is some scratching on the forehead, particularly above the right side of the left eye and above the nose, that I tried to pick up in the 4th and 5th pictures.2. Since I know that kitchen people can make tool people (my usual genre) look positively laid back when it comes to flatness, be aware that this is not perfectly flat, as you can see in the 8th and 9th pictures. IMO that does not detract at all from the piece, but of course your opinion may differ.
