I don\'t know origin or age of this early bronze figurine; it is estate sale find. It measures just 2 1/2\" tall, and appears to be a young man pulling splinter from his foot. I believe it\'s a famous and oft reproduced Antico Spiario figure; boy pulling thorn from foot; from original 3rd century B.C. by Agasias. Was Greco-Roman Hellenistic bronze, with the thorn representing hardship and sorrow. I further believe that this is a VERY old version, and feel quite comfortable deeming it antique.
