large & showy 15\" try square w/ brass trim & anti-tip tab not graduated:

You are offerding on one large try square as pictured.

It is marked with some owner initials stamped over an owner name, and I can make out a few letters but not a name.

Blade length, measured from the far end of the blade to the near end of the handle, is about 15-1/16\". The blade is about 2-15/16\" tall, and is not graduated on either side.

The wood handle is about 11-7/8\" in length, not including the little bit of the blade that protrudes above it.

It is surprisingly substantial, and weighs 1 pound 11.9 ounces on my postal scale.

The handle is a showy piece of wood, and is secured to the blade with the 5 brass rivets and escutcheons. It has a brass face, a rounded shape to the far side and to the end, and it has the little tab to keep the square from tipping (due to the weight of the handle) as it lays on the work.

Condition is good to very good, with some patina (color) and a few small areas of light pitting on the blade. The wood has a bunch of tiny dings. The blade has a slight S shape when you sight down it as shown.

SHIPPING: 4 pounds when boxed, (it takes a large box!), insurance is included. You have the option of USPS Ground Advantage which is slower, or USPS Priority Mail.No International shipping.

SHIPPING IN THE US: I would rather that you spend your money on my stuff, and not on shipping. I package well, and have a great track record of getting everything to each buyer, and getting it there in one piece. I try to pick the best shipping option for each listing, based on what is the least expensive, and based on what I think is needed to protect the item. I use the US Post Office for everything. If the value is $250 or over, requires your signature at the USPS delivery for the buyer and seller protections to be in effect.
