Item 484002-2 ◊ early 1900\'s Three Kitten-Themed Postcards from Paris & the UK

Very rare and fascinating \"early 1900s Three Kitten-Themed Postcards. All 3 postcards measure approx. 5-1/2” by 3-1/2”.

As the title suggests these are all kitten cards. Card no. 1 was produced in Paris, France. It shows three naughty kittens, who have knocked over a dolly stroller and are deciding whether or not to terrorize the doll … or see how she tastes. (We have cats .) It does have a split back, which means it dates after 1906. Despite that, the sender wrote their message on the front of the card. It is addressed to Miss Lena Worthington in Co. Tyrone (which is located in Northern Ireland.) It is signed \"Sláinte,\" which means \"Good Health\" in Gaelieg.

This card is in good condition with mildly bumped corners. It is clean in the front, but is brown from age in back and has some mild soiling.

Card no. 2 has two cute kittens, which have gotten a hold of some mail. And they certainly look like they are wishing they knew how to read. The saying at the top of the card says, \"Special Delivery.\" The back is undivided, and was sent through the mail. The postmark is June 24, 1907, and it was sent to Misses Ethel and Gertude McClain in Mt. Union, PA.

It is cute but is in fair condition. The lower left-hand corner has broken off, there are some creases in the body of the card, and there is some mild soiling in the back.

The final card (no. 3) is more of a comedy card. Two black cats are showing off their singing abilities, in the full moon. And a disgruntled gentleman threatens to hit them with a shoe. It has a split back, and was sent through the mail, although the post mark is not possible to read. It was send to Master B Worthington, Abbey Gortmore, Omagh. This is also located in County Tyrone. This card is in good condition, with minor wear on the edges, and minor soiling in back.

This is a nice assortment of postcards, especially if you like early 1900s Three Kitten Themed Postcards, that have a tie to Ireland.
