Maker and age: This lovely cabinet plate has a green \"Prov Saxe\" backstamp, a mark of Germany\'s incomparable porcelain maker Erdmann Schlegelmilch, the company founded by Leonard Schlegelmilch and named after his father. The mark came into use on May 16, 1902. Founded in 1861, the factory ceased production in 1937.
Design: The fine porcelain plate features 2 women and a man in 18th century costume encircled by a red band accented with gold filigree.
Size and condition: The plate is 8 1/2 inches wide and has no nicks, chips, repairs, cracks or crazing. There is wear to the edge and to the gold filigree, and a few tiny scratches in the red band.
A rope hanger is attached to the reverse.
Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
