This frame is an absolute knockout. Amazing, early 19th century deep scoop gild with applied rope twist ornamentation and subtle incised floral/vine designs that are mirror-imaged on each side. This could be American or English and is a form i have never seen before. The gilding is original, bright and the overall condition of the frame is fantastic. The frame measures 10 3/4 x 11 1/2 with a 6 1/4 x 7 rabbet. A true museum worthy early frame.Please email with any questions.
