Around 1985 I purchased these 7 coppermolds from a gentleman that said his dad used to work at Disneyland in the late 50’s and 60’s. They are heavy duty coppermolds, each stamped DISNEY and areapproximately 6 to 10 inches square. I was told that they were used to create plaster heads or faces for Disneycharacters, that were later painted with expressions and placed throughout the Disneyland theme park or in special attractions.

He also said there was a huge model and bust department in the DisneyImagineering department. There were permanent molds created and reused to create many heads of characters around the park. Many of the faces you see in the Pirates ride are the same faces you see in the Haunted Mansion, but with different facial hair and wigs. Down the road the process was changed and these molds were discarded.

I did try to identify each Disneycharacter. I’m sure of Mickey, Goofy and Pinocchio and pretty sure of the others but not positiveI identified them all correctly.
