Description:Marvelous clear detail in thisrarec.1890s-1900simageofa damaged hot air balloon with group of peoplegathered on ground. The wicker basket has some obvious damage to the structure. Their is avertical line flaw along right hand portion of the image which is a result of the cracked glass negative from which the print was created many years ago.

Photographer:Martin Behrman (1862-1945) renown photographer and copyist of historical California views.

Provenance: Imagederives from theWyland Stanley Collection of SanFrancisco historical memorabilia which included thousands of original photographs and antique negatives. The entire collection was purchased by Marilyn Blaisdell in the late 1970s.

Image Age:Circa 1890s to 1900s.

Print Creation: Circa 1920s-30s.

Condition:Beautiful condition. Flaws visible along the bottom right portion of image are from the original glass negative, not the print. Please see thefinal scan that shows the front and rearof thesurface.
