Lovely victorian parlor lamp in excellent condition....dates c. 1900....cast metal base is marked F.G. Co. for Fostoria Glass Co. (shown in last photo)...measures 18\" to the top of the ball shade, with the ball shade alone measuring 7 1/2\" tall....decal decoration consists of deep pink flowers on a brown and deep yellow shaded background....the pretty ball shade alone is worth my \"buy it now\" price....excellent, clean condition....glass is perfect with no chips, cracks, or repairs....please pardon any white spots in my photos which are glare from my camera flash, not damage to the paint....the flowers on the front of the shade are just a bit paler than the base, however it was manufactured that way....the same is true with the flower buds on the reverse which appear worn, however were quickly and not completely applied at the factory....I carefully cleaned the shade inside and out, however just the exterior on the base (so as not to affect the internal wiring)....paint shines nicely....electrical works well....3-way switch on the base lights the top, bottom, or both at the same time....no chimney....PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately the original kerosene inner parts were removed or altered when this lamp was electrified many years ago....the brass font is just the decorative top with the tank removed, no tin font liner, no original connector bolt....will be carefully packed and double-boxed for added protection....please study all photos, feel free to ask questions, and be sure to check out my other interesting antique sales!
