This brick came from Mt. Vernon.I worked at Mt. Vernon about 20 years ago and at that time one of the original garden walls fell over, so the workers gathered up all the old bricks and moved them to a big gravel parking lot in an out of the way part of the estate.The workers then proceeded to clean off the bricks until they either ran out of time or got tired.Then everything that was left was shoveled into a dumpster,and that is when I came along.Not wanting to see history thrown away I got in the dumpster and dug thru,grabbing some whole bricks.I was told these garden walls from Georges time had been patched over the years but the majority of the bricks were original.These bricks that I picked out I believe are the originals.Might make a cool doorstop.I will include a letter of authenticity.
