This Zippo has a Chrome Plated STEEL case with Pat 2517191 Pat Pend
Case was produced from about Mid 1953 until Mid 1954
Insert is INCORRECT for this caseas it was produced from Late 59 until 63 and has the Hollow Flint Wheel Rivet
This ZIPPO is in vintage USED condition from the mid 1950's. Lighter shows honest wear from use and age in the form of scratches, scuffs, nicks, marks, dings, loss of red paint, worn chrome plating and surface rust. Nicks and loss of chrome on front, worst is below the WATT. The letter A in KILOWATT is nicked up as well. Hinge has some side to side wobble. Insert as stated above is a 59-63 and WRONG for this case. Insert sparks and although I have not fueled it appears to be in good working order. Insert does have the expected scuffs and scratches from use along with a worn wick and dirty chimney. I only wiped this ZIPPO down for photos and will leave any further cleaning up to the buyer. Overall a decent looking and harder to find ZIPPO despite the mentioned flaws. Please review all photos and judge for yourself. Use ZOOM feature for close ups.
