This week I\'m offering a variety of collectibles, including trading cards as well as comics. As the Sixties progresserd into psychedelia and drugs, and hippiedom became the dominent pop culture force, the field of comics gave birth to the underground comix movement. These comics, usually black and white, were sold in head shops and other unconventional outlets, and were certainly not limited by the restraints of the Comics Code Authority. They featured nudity, sex, violence and drugs. Lots and lots of drugs. They also featured the work of creative legends like Gilbert Shelton, Spain Rodriguez...and Robert Crumb. Here I have Zap Comix #0, from 1968. This landmark comic was originally slated to be #1 in the series, but Crumb\'s publisher misplaced the artwork. It was later located, and so issue #0 was born. It features Crumb\'s brand of perverse yet sweet humor, and it\'s pretty much a time capsule of where things stood in 1968. Once you read \"Meatball\" you\'ll never be the same.This copy is in near mint/mint condition (see scans for condition). It\'s the third printing of the comic - small details on the cover indicate that. It\'s highly collectible.
