This yellow glassware bears a striking resemblance to the antique \"Vaseline\" or Uranium glass cup plates. The vintage crystal Pairpoint Glass cup plate honors the historic First Church of Christ located in Sandwich, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. Pairpoint cup plate number 77 was commissioned by the First Church of Christ Circle in 1979. The historic building is known as the \"Christopher Wren\" church because its spire is reminiscent of Sir Christopher Wren\'s masterpiece, Saint Mary-Le-Bow in London. The cup plate was designed and engraved by Alvin White, and he did a wonderful job capturing the dignity and grace of this lovely New England church. Handcrafted on Cape Cod using time-honored techniques, these 3.5 inch cup plates have subtle variations that highlight the artisan\'s skill. Each cup plate is crafted using a mold created with a hammer and chisel, and then pressed with molten glass using an antique press.
