RareVintage Wedgwood Yale University 1931 CommemorativePlate - made in England.This transferware platemeasuresapproximately 10 5/8" inches across, and has an ivory backgroundwith blue images. The plate hasa decorative scalloped border, with a centralimagefeaturing Connecticut Hall on the Yale University campus.The back ofthis plate carries themanufacturer'smark: "Yale University -- Connecticut Hall 1752 -- Wedgwood - Etruria, England -- SoleImporters - Jones, McDuffee & Stratton - Boston". The Wedgwood impressions/incisions are also present. Extremely good condition for its age - no chips, cracks, stains or repairs anywhere on this item. Some minor, light crazing in the clear coat glaze (primarily on the back of the plate), but it is minimal and barely visible. Any reflection, distortion or shadow in the photos is the result of camera and lighting issues.
