RareVintage Wedgwood Yale University 1931 CommemorativePlate - made in England. Measuresapproximately 10 1/2" across, and has an ivory backgroundwith blue images. Centralimagefeaturing the Vanderbilt - Scientific Hall II on the Yale University campus.The back ofthis plate carries themanufacturer'smark: "Yale University -- Vanderbilt - Scientific Hall II 1905 -- Wedgwood - Etruria, England -- SoleImporters - Jones, McDuffee & Stratton - Boston". The Wedgwood impressions/incisions are also present. Excellent condition for its age - no chips, cracks, stains or repairs anywhere on this item. Back of plate shows some minor, light crazing in the clear coat glaze, but it is barely visible and most viewers would not notice it at all. Any reflection, distortion or shadow in the photos is the result of camera and lighting issues.
