XX Large Antique c. 1870s Victorian Walnut Frame holds 30\" X 24\" Rabbet:

Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Victorian Period Accessories. Xtra Large Antique Victorian Walnut with ebonized edges. Picture Frame. Dates somewhere in the 1860-1880s period at Circa 1870.  Solid walnut with black ebonized highlights on edges.  Selling as pictured with NO glass and NO backboard (frame only). About 150 years old. Very large size measuring about 34 3/4\" x 29\" overall at extremes. Original finish. Original black ebonized highlights. Nice original patina. This is what some call a shadowbox frame. Good condition for age. Finish is original and looks good.. You may notice scuffs, scratches, and dings on frame. Minor wood loss. The original black ebonized areas have loss, scratches etc.. but could easily be toughed up. Large period Victorian frames like this are hard to find.  What I feel are the very minor condition issues listed only add charm and character to this 130+ year old frame. Large size measures about 34 3/4\" by about 29\" and 2\" deep  overall at extremes. Will hold about a 30\" by 24\" picture ( inner rabbet 30\" x 24\").  Guaranteed 19th Century.
