Allowed defects for this grade include: a spine split of less than half an inch, minor water spotting or other residue, impacted corners, and an accumulation or spine stresses that may break color. An item could be assigned this grade due to either an accumulation of minor defects or one or two moderate defects.

Description

Mail-order exclusive. This is the \'male\' Captain Universe cover/story (also printed with a variant \'female\' Captain Universe). Each comic is individually numbered and includes a similarly numbered Captain Universe trading card, sometimes loose and sometimes glued to front of the comic. Some issues may also have had a backing board spot-glued inside the comic book to protect it during shipping. Cover art and trading card art by The Hildebrandt Brothers. \"Sleeping Giants\" written by Bob Budiansky and penciled by Jim Craig. The comic also has a double fold out, perforated back cover featuring flip-side poster art, also by the Hildebrandt Brothers.
