The medal's design is a tribute to history, featuring the Imperial Japanese Army's five-pointed star on the obverse. The reverse is meticulously engraved with key dates marking the unfolding of significant historical events: the Manchurian Incident beginning on September 18, 1931; the establishment of Manchukuo on March 1, 1932; the signing of the Japan-Manchukuo Protocol on September 15, 1932; the Truce Agreement with China on May 30, 1933; and the implementation of Manchukuo's imperial government on March 1, 1934.
