Elmer Kerrick54th Infantry BandTranscribed 4 -page letter from Kerrick to his wife (NO ENVELOPE). He describes the war in direct terms somewith sarcastic humor and seriousness. Sadly, a few years after the war Kerrick died of carbon monoxidefumes while working on his car in his garage (SEE DETAILED OBITUARY). What makes his death even worse is he died Christmas Eve while the family was sleeping. The obituary reads in part:Christmas at grandmothers for Peggy Kerrick will be. well, what would any little girls be if her daddy had been killed by carbon monoxide fumes while trying to get the family car repaired for the trip?\"
