Russian White Movement RUSSIAN Civil war Miniature CROSS for WARRIORS Evacuated to GALLIPOLI (TURKEY ) By order of Commander- in- Chief General WRANGEL of November 15,1921, a cross was established for the Warriors evacuated in GALLIPOLI with inscription “GALLIPOLI“ and dates 1920-1921. The cross/ badge was established in memory of the stay of the White Russian Army in military camps in a foreign land. The rectangular cross was made of iron, copper, bronze or silver, had a dark Color and covered with black paint or enamel . On the badge of a latter production, there was a white border around the entire perimeter, depending on the time and place of production, the inscription on the crosses were made in different fonts. By order of General WRANGEL dated June 30, 1923, the dates 1921-1923 were set on the cross for the troops who had endured the hardest life in Gallipoli for the longest time.
