West German Post World War II 1957 Reissue 2nd Class Iron Cross Decoration.
The Iron Cross measures 1 3/4” wide by 1 3/4\" tall.The front shows a three-leaf oak leaf in the center of the four-armed Maltese cross.The lower arm is dated ‘1939’. The lower arm on the reverse side is dated ‘1813’.Three-piece construction with an iron magnetic center.Includes the presentation machine embroidered cloth woven cotton ribbon.Has two posts with two brass brads attached.This badge was manufactured by Steinhauer & Luck Ludenscheid Germany.This type of badge was awarded during WWII for gallantry in combat action above and beyond the call of duty.On the World War II version there was a swastika in the center of the cross.Excellent plus condition
