Personal Note:I\'ve been gone on a long road trip to the Midwest where my wife and I got to participate in my second daughter\'s wedding. Yay! Anyway, I\'m back and I\'m putting things back on , especially old and rare comic books. In celebration, I will be taking at least 20% off of the previous prices of many items that I\'ve posted before, including this one.

Weird Comics #12 was published by Fox in March,1941, and is thus part of the earliest group of comics, those published before the United States entered World War II. These comics have a curious, fascinating, sort-of innocent feel that to me later comics just don\'t seem to have. And, of course, this issue has a \"Sorceress of Zoom\" story! LOLBesides Bert Whitman, other artists not totally confirmed in this issue include Louis Cazeneuve, Don Rico, and Robert Webb.

This issue is definitely rare for a super-hero comic, with only 9 copies that show up on the CGC census. This certainly makes it hard to find. I bought this copy some 40-50 years ago. Although there is an incomplete issue also on sale on right now, how many complete copies have you seen for years?

As for condition, I\'ve always tried for comics that show well. This copy is not in great shape but it\'s the best one I could find. Over the years I\'ve noticed that many of these issues tend to show up with multiple flaws. Please check all the scans and photos for a detailed look at the actual condition. Some flaws you will see include: a piece torn out (about an inch by a half inch) on the cover. The cover is not attached to the staples, but seems to be attached by glue in one spot, don\'t know how or why. The spine is rolled. The inside of the cover has some brown discoloration.

The interior pages are actually in pretty good shape. Once again, examine the photos and scans closely and if you have any questions, just let me know.

This item will be bagged in Mylar and boarded and sent in a Gemini Comic Mailer packaged within a USPS Priority box for safety\'s sake.

I started collecting comics in the early 1960s. Going off to college in 1969, I sold all my comics to the local barbershop for a nickel apiece. (And thought I got a good deal!) But a year or so later, the amazing era of early 70s comics drew me back in, especially Kirby\'s Fourth World, Bernie Wrightson, Michael Kaluta, Neal Adams, Barry Smith, and so many more. Who could resist? And I\'ve been reading comics ever since.

But now it\'s time to pass them on. I\'ve had to delay a little, but I continue to sellkey books,Golden Age,Silver Age, andBronze Age.Figurines,undergrounds,original art,souvenirs from the San Diego Comic Con from the early 70s on. And especiallyesoteric,eclectic,GGA, andjust plain weirdcomics from the 40s and 50s. These are generally super rare and I\'ve been searching them out for over 40 years. I\'m sure there are more categories I\'ve forgotten (likeArchies).

It will take a while to get back to full speed on these, but if this kind of stuff is interesting, you might want to look at my other sale items and save me as a seller. I will be dedicated to getting positive response only and will try to solve any problem!
