Up for your consideration is a Wedgwood of Etruria & Barlaston Queen\'s Ware (of England) Mary Vickers \"Be My Friend\" plate. The plate is the first issue in a series entitled \"My Memories\" by Mary Vickers. There is a charming scene of two small children against a wooden fence and surrounded by tall grasses. Mary Vickers\'s name appears in the lower right.
The plate measures 7 7/8 inches across, and weighs 14 1/4 ounces.
The back is marked: \"BE MY FRIEND\" - First issue in a series entitled \"My Memories\" by Mary Vickers. - Made in England in Wedgwood Queen\'s Ware. - This is plate number 4887 j in an edition limited to, and permanently closed at the end of the prescribed 100 day firing period in the year of 1981. Wedgwood (R) - of Etruria & Barlaston - Bradex 26-W90-5.1 - Vickers.
The plate is in excellent, like-new condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There are no signs of wear or use.
