Antique, Wedgwood Etruria porcelain teapot with a lovely, floral transfer design and a hand painted, rosebud finial! The spout, rims, and handle also have hand painted accents. The teapot holds 26 fl oz, and the spout has an inner strainer. Both pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. The Wedgwood Etruria England mark on the bottom along with the incised 'E' dates the piece to 1902.
The Etruria Works was a ceramics factory opened by Josiah Wedgwood in 1769 in a district of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, which he named Etruria. The factory ran for 180 years, as part of the wider Wedgwood business.
