Princess Diana, Royal Diana, NIB, MIB. Box has really no issues other than the tape is getting loose. Never opened! Manufactured by Way Out Toys in NYC.
Doll is 11\" tall in a pale-yellow lace and satin gown, with accessories including a gold purse, gold rod, gold crown, gold shoes, gold necklace and bracelet - some of the gold pieces are decorated with ruby-like bits. Not real gold, I\'m sure! Gold-colored plastic or metal.
1998 is a guess about this doll\'s date of release based on the phrase below the Princess (on the box).
Though perhaps not the most exquisite Diana likeness, this doll is absolutely hard to find. I believe, like those Beanie Babies released after Di\'s death, this appears to have been released around the same time because it includes a similar Diana remembrance phrase. The phrase says, \"Hold Her in Your Hands and Heart Forever,\" so likely she came about in 1997 or 1998.
I can find other \"Way Out\" Princess Diana dolls but have only seen one with this particular dress; the box was significantly damaged on that one. I\'m sure others exist but their failure to flood the market makes me wonder if there just weren\'t a lot of them made, or if they just aren\'t on the market because.. ? They don\'t look extra rare so who knows. I can\'t seem to find a lot of info about their manufacturer, though I\'m sure it\'s out there if you search hard enough. At any rate, a great find for a princess Di fan!
