Watertown, Massachusetts Arsenal Operations and HistoryThis sale is for a 64 page paper bound booklet called \"Watertown Arsenal\". The arsenal, located in Watertown, Massachusetts, is now a mall, but it was formerly a war time production plant that manufactured a variety of weapons, armaments, and weapons support equipment, especially during the World War II / Korean War era. This booklet has no publication information such as who wrote it, who published it, or when it was created. My guess, based on the booklet design characteristics and the type of equipment described, is that it was published in the late 1950s. The most recent date I found in the book was 1958. The arsenal was created in 1800.The booklet contains a brief history of the arsenal including component descriptions of its Operation Division, including Production Engineering, Mobilization, and Manufacturing. It contains many illustrations and photos.The booklet is approximately 6-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches. The booklet has saddle stitched binding. Structurally and cosmetically, for a document approximately 64 years old the booklet is in fair-to-good condition. The document displays moderate shelf wear such as some creases, dog-eared corners, and minor staining, but shows no tears, rips, missing pages or holes that I discovered. The pages are somewhat yellowed with age, but are still very flexible and do not crumble or tear when handled with care.This item is sold as is so please be sure to examine the photos carefully before offerding.
