Washington USA Patriotic Antique Postcard. EMB & Gold. PUBL:Anglo Am. 1912

This is a very nice PATRIOTIC Antique Postcard from the very early 1900s showing President George Washington who is pictured on one side of a book, and the other side is one of his statements. This is an EMBOSSED postcard with GOLD TRIM in the design. The bottom shows his home at Mount Vernon. This book design is similar to another set of Washington postcards that was published by the same publisher, Anglo American. This particular postcard is not seen very often.

The publisher, Anglo-American Publishing Co. (1886-1909, New York), was actively involved with halftone view-cards and comic cards. They published many black & white as well as tinted halftone postcards. They used embossed methods and printed both in Germany and later in the USA.They published postcards showing President Washington and Lincoln that are collector items today.

This is a collector item because of its age, the embossed and gold trim, and its overall appeal to those collecting Washington and Patriotic antique postcards.

The postcard is POSTED with a cancel date of 1912. It has a DIVIDED back and it was "Made in USA".

This is a BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector. The postcard will keep its value! It is sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains, paper toning, and edge wear due to its age (over 100 years old!). The photos show the postcard and its back.

The postcard is shipped in a sturdy envelope. We only ship within the USA; we do not ship internationally. USA shipping is with tracking, and we use Standard Envelopemail when the value is under $20 and the weight is under 3 oz; and, we use USPS First Class mail when the value is over $20 or the weight is over 3 oz.Wecombine shippingwhenever possible. If you purchase multiple lots, you can wait and we will send you an invoice for the combined shipping before you pay. In case you have already paid for the lots, we will still combine the shipment and refund you any extra shipping charges back to your account.
