This is a nice group of 2 PATRIOTIC antique postcards from the early 1900s. They were published for PRESIDENT'S DAY for the remembrance of GEORGE WASHINGTON'S birthday, and the Flags postcard could have been made to be used for the Fourth of July. These postcards are EMBOSSED and they have GOLD trim in the design. They were published in the 1909 era, and the publisher is International Art Publishing. These postcards are bright and colorful, and they have a lot of RED, WHITE, and BLUE drawn in them. One postcard shows the bust of Washington with a young child looking at him. The other postcard shows two USA flags, with a nice mountain scene in the background, and the words of a patriotic song.

The postcards were published by International Art Publishing Co., a well respected and sought after publisher, whose postcards have strong value. Also, these postcards are ARTIST SIGNED by Ellen Clapsaddle, a well known artist whose material is sought after by collectors. These are nice postcards and they will please all collectors. Please note that the Washington postcard has a hole at the top left, where maybe it was used to hang the postcard up.

These arecollector itemsbecause of their age, being Artist Signed by Clapsaddle, being nicely embossed with gold trim, and their overall appeal to those collecting Washington and Patriotic antique postcards.

The postcards are UNPOSTED and would have been published in the 1909 era. They have DIVIDED backs, and these were "Printed in Germany" during the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915).

These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector.The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains, paper toning, and edge wear due to their age (over 100 years old!).The photos show the postcards and their backs.
