Walt Disney Vintage Mickey and Ludwig von Drake Chalk Board. This piece has been in our family for years. As best as I can pinpoint, this was bought by my maternal grandmother in the mid 1960's from a neighbor who had bought the piece new. As most folks who have bought items from me know that we are doing a regrettable downsize. This requires us to part with some treasured parts of our past. This item was well taken care of and played with kindly and gently for years. I have never seen another example of this particular board that is in such great shape. It does have a few very minor flaws. The wood frame has very light wear. Considering its age though, it is in fantastic condition with a beautiful finish. The paint for the lettering and numbers is like new. The characters on the board itself are also like new. They have no damage or flaws. The Walt Disney Productions trademark is like new. The board does have some very light shadows of old lines of practice letters from when we were kids. The reverse side is a traditional black board. The lettering on this side of the frame is like new as well. The black surface is not as pristine as the green side with the characters and trademark. It is still in great shape for its age. This is a must have for any Disney collector. It is also one of the rare pieces to feature Ludwig Von Drake. He is often mistaken for Scrooge McDuck, or Donald Duck. As you can see in the picture of the piece, it also features Donald Duck, Pluto, Goofy, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Minnie and Daisy Duck. A little piece of history.
