Historic Walt Disney Treasures from Saturday\'s Toys presents... an extremely rare 7\" x 9.5\" black and white glossy photograph of German children in 1950 viewing Walt Disney\'s \"Bambi\" for the first time.

In the years following the end of World War II, movie releases from the United States were finally allowed throughout Europe as the continent returned to living without dictatorial rule. This photograph, picturing an audience of fascinated children, captures a packed movie theater in Bad Homburg, West Germany.

The photo was taken by renowned photographer Fritz Fenzl on December 19, 1950. Of special note... are the smiling faces that had to warm the heart of Walt Disney... who had waited nearly a decade to finally bring \"Bambi\" to European audiences following WWII.

Includes original press caption and photographer backstamp on reverse of photo. A worthy addition to any archival collection of vintage photographs associated with Walt Disney and his studio in Burbank, California.
