Many of the wooden tokens from my collection are quite rare and I Strongly Recommend choosing the USPS First Class Mail option to prevent damage caused by envelopes having to be processed through mail sorting machines. The rollers on the USPS sorting machines are known to cause damage to wooden tokens and other fragile items. By selecting the First Class Mail option your token will be shipped in a rigid mailer that will not be processed through a sorting machine. This option will cost you $4.99 but will arrive safely.

The USPS Standard Envelope is a newer option to send regular envelopes with a tracking number. The cost is the same as a First Class letter and allows me to send tokens with a tracking number with Free Postage. There is a slight risk of damage because the envelope must travel through a postal sorting machine that uses metal rollers.

For a much safer method of shipping, choose the First Class Mail option for $4.99 and your Wooden Nickel will be packaged in a rigid mailer or box for a safe and secure journey. All Wooden Nickels that sell for more than $20.00 must be mailed in this manner.

The tracking number provided on Standard Envelopes is unique and not the same as the USPS tracking numbers on First Class Packages. The Standard Envelope tracking numbers are scanned while passing through the sorting machines and then given to your letter carrier to deliver. Depending on the location of your USPS processing center, your envelope may be scanned as \"delivered\" when, in actuality, your letter carrier will receive the envelope the next day for delivery causing some confusion. This does not occur often but it does happen. Your letter carrier does not scan the tracking barcode on the Standard Envelope as it comes in regular mail.

Please use the zoom feature and examine each wooden nickel for actual condition. Most are in very good condition but a few may have some wear such as stains, chips, fading or other minor defects and they are priced accordingly.
